UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Nominations are being accepted for the 2024 Penn State World Campus Outstanding Alumni Award. The annual award recognizes World Campus alumni who are achieving success in their fields by their contributions to society and their professions.
The award is sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Online Education and coordinated through the Office of Development and Alumni Relations for Penn State Outreach and Online Education. Renata Engel, vice provost for Online Education, said it is an honor to recognize alumni who go on to make a difference in their sphere after receiving their diploma.
“Penn State World Campus alumni are achieving positive change where they work, live, and serve,” Engel said. “These awards recognize and celebrate their accomplishments as well as highlight their broader impact across their communities and workplaces.”
Eligible nominees for the Penn State World Campus Outstanding Alumni Award must:
- be a graduate of Penn State World Campus
- have obtained an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree
- demonstrate a record of success
Members of the University faculty or staff are not eligible for the award.
Faculty, staff, students, and alumni of Penn State World Campus may nominate a candidate for the award. Please include a summary describing how the nominee has made significant contributions through their work. The deadline for submissions is July 31.
Past recipients of the Penn State World Campus Outstanding Alumni Award have been honored for their service in the United States military and advancements in health care, community, cybersecurity, supply chain management, finance, and higher education. Read their stories here.
