Join alumni for a scavenger hunt

Members of the Penn State World Campus community can show off their school pride through a scavenger hunt held during the Penn State Alumni Association’s annual We Are Weekend in June.

The Penn State World Campus Alumni Society is hosting its second Roar Where You Are scavenger hunt, which encourages participants to complete tasks and challenges from wherever they are. All Penn State World Campus alumni and students and their families are invited to participate, along with other Penn Staters.

The event starts with a kick-off session on Zoom at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on June 18. It will continue from June 19 to 22, with a closing celebration on Zoom at 8:00 p.m. (ET).

The goal of the scavenger hunt is to bring Penn State students, alumni, and their families together through an activity that can be done wherever participants are and create a sense of community through the shared experience.

The challenges can be completed asynchronously (the same way World Campus courses are offered!) over the three-day period.

During last year’s scavenger hunt, more than 20 teams of people participated. Participants had several options to earn points toward a total to determine the winner: participating in an activity, posting photos and videos, and paying it forward.

The Penn State World Campus Alumni Society is a global network of alumni that fosters engagement among graduates, the University, students, and future students. They are members of the Penn State Alumni Association.

Register by June 10 for more information and to receive materials and instructions in the mail.
