The Penn State Alumni Association invites all alumni to take advantage of their virtual speaker session series. This session features Dr. P. Gabrielle Foreman and Dr. Jim Casey, who co-founded the award-winning Colored Conventions Project and co-lead the new Center for Black Digital Research at Penn State. They also co-edited The Colored Convention Movement: Black Organizing in the Nineteenth Century (UNC Press 2021). They will discuss the movement, the project, and Douglass Day, a holiday they resurrected to digitally capture historical records.
