The Penn State McCourtney Institute for Democracy invites you to attend their in-person and online events aimed at facilitating thought-provoking conversations about democracy.
“Is Democracy under attack?” has become a common question. Rather than answering the question, Dr. Ralph Cintron will be exploring all the possible motives behind the question using Kenneth Burke’s “a way of seeing is also a way of not seeing,” which can be extended to “a way of knowing is also a way of not knowing.” Dr. Cintron is an associate professor of English and Latin American and Latino Studies at University of Illinois at Chicago.
