The Penn State McCourtney Institute for Democracy invites you to attend their in-person and online events aimed at facilitating thought-provoking conversations about democracy. Dr. Jamila Michener will be presenting as the keynote speaker of the Democracy in the U.S. States Conference in State College. Dr. Michener is an associate professor of government at Cornell University and co-director of the Cornell Center for Health Equity. Her research focuses on poverty, racial inequality, and public policy in the U.S.
