The Policy Profiles webinar series, from the Penn State College of the Liberal Arts and the School of Public Policy, profiles guests with expertise in diverse policy issues and provides policy-makers the opportunity to discuss multiple policy career paths and issue areas with students and recent graduates. All are welcome, and advanced registration is required. 

John Richter will discuss his extensive background in political and policy experience, having served as campaign staff on presidential and congressional campaigns including President Obama’s 2008 campaign in Colorado and as deputy political director for the Clinton-Kaine campaign in Pennsylvania and for the Biden-Harris campaign in Pennsylvania. Richter worked on Capitol Hill for more than 8 years for members of Congress in the House and the Senate, beginning his career in the office of Sen. Bob Casey working on health care, veterans, science, technology, and telecommunications issues. He also served as a lobbyist and advocacy and political specialist for the American Nurses Association and WorldatWork. He is currently the federal legislative director at G2G Consulting, where he oversees the firm’s federal clients and their legislative priorities.
