Join Penn State World Campus alumni, students, and friends for an interactive presentation and discussion with Karen Armstrong, director of inclusion, equity, and diversity for Penn State Outreach and Online Education, and Denita Wright Watson, associate director of equity, inclusion, and advocacy for Penn State World Campus. Karen and Denita will focus on inclusive hiring best practices for both the interviewer and interviewee. You’ll learn how to avoid making assumptions about job candidates as well as potential employers and how to understand pronouns and preferred names. Throughout the session, you’ll be provided with numerous resources and takeaways that you can utilize after the event.
