The Penn State Alumni Association invites all alumni to take advantage of their virtual speaker series. This session features Kirk French, teaching professor of anthropology and filmmaker at Penn State. He will be discussing the very first film that created the “documentary” genre in the film industry — Nanook of the the North from 1922. He will share his own efforts to document the drastic changes that have occurred in the region, including for the Inuit of Inukjuak people and the environment.
